Weekend's Here!
Have a can of root beer!
I got a call from Cico yesterday who has been working full time at the new Chenga World in Ohio. He said he got a call inquiring about renting the park for an after hours session-no big deal, people do it all the time right? Then the conversation ended with "can we get naked in the skatepark?"

So, the people show up-a photographer, 3 dudes, and two ladies. And for the next two hours, they ran around Chenga naked (up and down the ramps while one dude skated) and the photographer took photos. At one point, Scarlett (Cico's dog) began chasing them around the park.

Basically, the gist of the situation is that this group of people travel around all summer and go random places to get naked and take photos. No funny stuff, just being naked in odd places. The photographer takes some artsy shots and puts together an art exhibit every year. I guess it's a big deal-the photographer was telling Cico about shooting with Kate Moss.

Only in Ohio.

I sent out a post to our team yesterday calling for news. It's always interesting to see what I get back-today especially:

Degroot: This isn't much for news, but I have more Mark pics that are funny, or funny to me...will keep them coming as long as Mark can handle it...Priceless.

From Ty Stuyvesant, back from the dead: I know most of you already love your bike. But when you lose your car and ride your bike to get from pt A to B it can be a very liberating experience. These are some pictures of a critical mass ride I participated in, in Pittsburgh. Once a month hundreds of cyclists get the chance to meet up and share ideas with others. While the driving force of CM was to have fun, there are also issues dealing with cyclists rights with automobiles and the idea of being enviormentally aware that speaks loud during CM. With the lack of control we have of this world, with the different energy bills being passed, only catering to consumption. The majority, driving cars and growing attatched to that relationship inflicts pollution, urban sprawl, and big expenses. With all these things considered Im keeping a concious effort to ride my road bike and bmx as much as possible!

The other picture is of me before I got my hair cut the other day. I figured that some people would get a kick out of it!

Here's a link to a BNQT post about Ronnie Surridge going really high on a shady, narrow, and dusty vert ramp. Tenth at Soul Bowl, not bad.

And lastly, a quick interview update from Jeff K. (who's commercial we just finished for Props-unreal!)

1.Now that summer is in full swing and the Milwaukee winter is behind you, are you able to take advantage of some street?

Of course. Been riding outside as much as i can...

2.How long was the trip to Woodward and where to next?

I went to woodward for about a week... it was so much fun, thanx to all those guys out there for making it so much fun. Right now im at home hanging out for a couple days in Wisconsin... then im off to the Rebel jam in Germany for a week... so excited!

3.First time to Europe (Rebel Jam)?

I went over to Europe when I was in high school but I wasn't riding yet so this is my first experience over seas to ride! So ya, this is my first Rebel Jam!

4.Have any pre-concieved notions about Europe?

No, not really. Just hope to have a good time and meet some new people and have a blast!

5.What's left on your list of things to do before old man winter takes over Wisconsin?

Hmm, I hope to start filming alot once I'm back because my good friend Grant (who I ride with alot and who films all my stuff) has been gone all summer... also I can't wait till he all the division guys get back so I have people to ride and party with!

Have a good weekend.
