Jared Eberwein: Enter 2015.

“Started the year of with a good run of shows, the first show was pretty much my first time riding since my second knee surgery. It was a two day event deal for All Wheel Sports, first day was rehearsal and the second day was the actual show, too at night. The show is pretty awesome and a lot more interesting then a regular BMX show, but there is a lot more going on then a normal show. Gymnast, dancers, roller bladders, scooter riders, and some parkor. The event was pretty much like expo for companies to come scope out some show businesses that put on some sort of entertainment. AWS brought us all together for this two day event to put on a show so all the clients can see the real deal, it was a good time.
Second show of the year was shortly after the first show for AWS, about a week. It was another NBA halftime show, this time it was for Robert Castillo, his company BMX FreeStyle Team. I think its been over a year since I’ve actually done a show with Robert, I’ve done some shows for Robert not too long ago, but not with him. Brought me back a bit, Robert was the first person I’ve ever done a show with back when I first started riding, probably at age 16. Robert has still got that fire he puts behind every show, this NBA show we did, was for the Oakland Warriors. Unlike a normal NBA show, this location is a bit different, because the place where we build the ramp in the back is a lot bigger of a area, so that we can actually get in some practice time and jump the ramp. The show went off without a hitch, and I actually wore a GoPro on my helmet, which I don’t think I’ve ever done before. Our Flat land rider’s friend was there taking photo and getting video coverage in the short time that is available during an NBA show, his name was Terry Barentsen. All our tricks went as planned, setup was good, as well a tear down. Packed everything up, headed out to get some sleep, then flew home first thing in the morning.”
