Jared Eberwein: Goldwell Color Zoom
“I did shows for a company called All Wheels Sport for a theme park, Knott’s Berry Farm, last year. Jill Transki, who started AWS contacted me about doing a live show for an event at the Nokia theater in LA. Didn’t really know much about it, but I was on board. The day arrives, and I find out we’re doing a show for some modeling/hairstylist event, Goldwell Color Zoom. Whatever it was it seemed to be a big deal. A good amount of the cast that I did the theme park shows with were there as well for the performance. It was awesome getting to see everyone, small little reunion. My friend Scott Twifer and I were the two BMX riders for the show, the rest were a scooter rider, two roller “bladies” and one gymnast. We spent our time one set rehearsing about a 4 to 5 min run through for hours. There were two 6 foot tall by 6 foot wide ramps, that they wouldn’t let be screwed into the ground and only held down by a few sand bag. Wasn’t much to be done on them beside just turn around, it was a let down. We made the most of the ramps and did all that we could. We all had certain queues to follow, hitting the ramps at different times, weaving in and out of dancers and models on stage, playing with the crowd, and just doing our thing. One stand out thing to me was the catering, it was amazing and fancy foods. I definitely took advantage of it and stuffed myself. I turned out to be a good time, and just another thing to add to the list.”
