Phil Aller in Sweden
My friend Tom Danger McConnell is in the process of making a local riding video.
For the last bit of footage he thought it would be a great idea to organise a trip, of which we would have no idea where we going until we got to the airport, which is a spendid idea.
The only problem being packing lightly and having no idea of the climate, which made it even more exciting.
We arrived at Stanstead Airport in North London to be told we were going to Stockholm, Sweden.
Sweden is an amazing country, the people of Sweden are very welcoming and friendly, Stockholm is very bike friendly and most people more than welcomed our hunt for obstacles to ride and to share their Skateparks.
We found a good amount of Street but barely scraped the surface, we rode an sweet DIY park named Brotherhood plaza which was awesome.
We visited Sweden’s brand new concrete park which really is unbelievable but unfortunately it’s skate only at the moment.
We rode two more concrete parks and cruised the streets in search of fun and spots to complete filming for Tom McConnell’s Yeah Roy 2.
Friendly people, good riding spots, fun bars, beers and great company made for one of the funnest trips I’ve ever been on with my friends and i hope to return to Stockholm soon.
