When it comes to choosing a spline drive sprocket for your street, park, dirt, or flat rig, Profile Racing offers three options based almost solely on aesthetics.
While we’re getting into that, let us give you an additional brief history of our spline driven, freestyle gears.
The first spline drive sprocket Profile produced was the traditional, 19mm Spline Drive Sprocket above. At this point in our history, almost 10 years ago, we only offered 19mm cranks, hence this sprocket being 19mm.
Today, it is still our standard and we keep 9 colors in stock (Black, Matte Black, Polished, Red, Blue, Gold, Purple, Green, and Aqua) in sizes 18, 20, 23, 25, 28, 30, 33, 36, 39, and 42t.
Years later, we introduced the 22mm Profile Column Cranks. The Column’s have no sprocket bolt boss (take spline driven sprockets only), and needed an accompanying sprocket to fit that size spindle. Since the original 19mm design was all ready made, we had to produce a proprietary 22mm sprocket to accompany them.
Introducing the Profile Galaxy.
Available in Black, Matte Black, Polished, Red, Blue and Gold, and in sizes 25, 28, and 30t only.
A couple years pass, and 24mm cranks arrive into the bmx market. Considering Profile Racing does not do a 24mm crank, we thought it best to create a sprocket option to be more universal with the three standard spindle sizes available.
Introducing the Profile Sabre: Available in 25, 28, 30, and 33t, black only, and is adaptable to our 5 universal sprocket inserts:
A. 19mm Bolt-On
B. 19mm Spline Drive
C. 22mm Bolt-On
D. 22mm Spline Drive
E. 24mm Bolt-On
We hope this helps?
