Support Local: Circuit Bmx

Local bike shops are the backbone to our bmx scene. Beyond the obvious (providing a selection of tangible product for you to check out/choose from as well as professional servicing), shops have an important hand in building the bmx scene around you. From organizing jams, to premiering videos, to hosting visiting teams/pros, local shops exist to envelope your scene with a full on bmx experience.

This is the first of many features highlighting core bmx shops in the US. We’ll start with our long time friend, Vic Bettencourt, and his shop, Circuit Bmx, in Pawtucket, RI. Thanks to him for all he’s done for the Providence/Pawtucket scene over the past 7 years.

How many employees: One, with help from many friends: Proctor, Pickett, Rankin, and Carniscele.

What events/projects has the shop organized this year: We had lots of shop stops this year: Animal, Bone-Deth, FBM, Tree. We also did a local jam at Providence Park and a few video premieres. The biggest and best was the B-cave Premiere for sure.

What services do you provide to the local bmx community? Circuit has always been a place that provides a home for the local BMX scene. A place where riders can meet up, hang out and see whats new in the BMX world. We are a 100% BMX Shop and are dedicated to it on a daily basis.

Bobby Proctor. Early morning tabe at Providence Park.
