Twenty Inch Olympic Dreams
“20 Inch Olympic Dreams”: Is a short film I shot about Travis Martin, the father of Olympian Arielle Martin of the 2012 USA BMX Team. I’ve worked with Travis for more then 5 years and have followed Arielle’s career for about the same time. I’ve was there for the up’s and down’s, the laughs and smiles, the tears of joy and sadness, the victories and defeats. The video is dedicated to Travis and all those who made Arielle’s Olympic dreams come true.
The idea behind the video came to me just after Arielle qualified for the 2012 Olympics. Travis has always built Arielle’s BMX wheels and I knew this “wheel build”, was a special one. Not all parents have the opportunity to be involved as much has Travis has in Arielle’s career. “20 Inch Dreams”, is about a fathers dedication to his daughters life long dream to become and Olympian. ENJOY!
I wish Arielle and BMX TEAM USA the best of luck in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
