Spring Fling 2018 Recap.
Thanks to Ed Ferri and Planet Bmx for hosting the 10th annual Spring Fling Old School/Mid School Bmx get-together.
Profile Racing was both a proud sponsor and was on hand to show our history and answer questions.
Thanks to everyone for showing love and support for the brand over the past 50 years.
Our main display pieces, brought out of the Dungeon, were an unfinished Profile Pro-styler frame, fork and bars. With that as the center piece, we got a few questions that we wanted to answer:
- How many Pro-Styler Frames were made: Around 250
- What Year are the OG Pro-Styler Bars: 1984/1985. They were the Profile Race Bar with an extra, mid, cross bar welded in.
- Were there any serial numbers on Profile Frames in the 80’s: No. The only parts the had serial numbers were the first run of Profile Box Cranks.
- Did Profile make a batch of bars for Vector: Yes. Around 1984. More info on that to come.
Stay tuned for the next two weeks of news posts covering 1982. So much stuff went down that year for Profile that we’ll be splitting it up into two parts!
