Tech Tip #46: Sprocket Size to Spindle Compatible.
Over the years, due to variances and popularity of both sprocket and crank spindle sizes, Profile has manufactured a gamut to cover as much compatibility as possible.
First, we’ll start with Profile BOLT ON sprockets that will work on 19mm cranks. For reference, below is the most common Profile adapters available for compatibility.
Using adapter A, this list of Profile sprockets will work on most 19mm spindles:
-Imperial
-Whippit
-Ripsaw I/Ripsaw II (Race version)
-Inferno
-Hurricane
-Trifan
Using adapter B, this list of Profile sprockets will work on most 19mm spindles:
-BlackJack (36t and 44t)
-SS Flywheel (36, 44, 45, and 46t)
-Fireball (39 and 44t)
-Wake
-Ripsaw (23, 25, 28, and 30t)
Using NO adapter, this list of Profile sprockets will work directly on a Profile SS 7/8 spindle:
-BlackJack (36t and 44t)
-SS Flywheel (36, 44, 45, and 46t)
-Fireball (39 and 44t)
-Wake
-Ripsaw (23, 25, 28, and 30t)
The Blackjack 25, 28, and 30t comes with TWO of it’s own proprietary sprocket adapters. This sprocket is the only BOLT-ON sprocket we offer that is compatible to 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm Bolt-On Cranks.
The Blackjack 19mm adapter (not shown above), will adapt it to most 19mm spindles.
Using adapter C, the Blackjack will adapt to most 22mm spindles.
Using NO ADAPTER, the Blackjack will adapt to most 24mm spindles.
